The usual

Never trust anyone.
You think you can,but you never can.
When you trust,you leave room for disappointment.
Which is exactly what I did,so in all honesty it's partially my fault.
It escalated,and I couldn't stop it.
I did nothing but push it further under the rug.
Shoulda known better,but boy did you have me convinced.
Only to an extent though.
